WHOOOO! WA! WEE!

WOW!

We played our first 'real' shows in over 6 MONTHS over the weekend and man it was good to get out!

rooty hill was interesting...i think the kids don't dig on rock n roll so much out there...or maybe its just us? anyways thanks to those of you who spent your hard earned and put up with us playing new songs!

Yesterday we played the badlands festival and hell! it was Killer!

Was good to catch up with all our mates who we haven't seen in ages!

The response was well unexpected and amazing, thanks to everyone who has left us comments and sent us emails about our set, we really enjoyed it!

But now its back to the grind...we have to get this record finished so we can get back out and play some more...its fun i tell's ya!

So yeah basically just a massive thanks and hopefully we can do some more shows before the year is out!

In the meantime get some blood oranges and juice them before their extremely short season is over!

WOW!!!...

I have been home for two days now and the reality of being home has hit...GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!

Now i have got that of my chest i will let you know what we have been up to.

a little over three weeks ago we packed up our song board with a MASSSSSIVE trailer load of musical instruments and recording equipment and headed for the hills


Rather then record in a regular recording studio, We decided for this first batch of recording to rent a lovely house in the 'gourmet' region of north east Victoria Deck it out with a stack of gear and go for it.

We had about two weeks of recording time, in that time we completed 4 songs and recorded about 6 others in various stages of completion. We will be finishing the others off and recording some more as soon as we can.

This is a photo of the main 'live room' looking from my 'vibe zone' towards where we set the drums up.
It is a rather large space and we were able to get some killers sounds out of it.


This photo is again from my 'vibe zone' looking over to Matt's area.
We would all play in this room together with our headphones on.
I put my guitar amp in the laundry...it meant we couldn't do our laundry while we were recording.


these next two pics are for the nerds...it is a selection of some of the gear we used.




This is our main man Richard Stolz, when he isn't in the kitchen making a mess he is producing our record, and doing top job at it! He's 'control room' also doubles as his sleeping quarters.

I would have some more pics for you like when we enclosed Andrew in a tiny space (Lynard skynard stlye) to record his drums or when we found a big dead wombat but i accidently dleted all the pics from my camera and lost them so you will just have to imagine it!

So i hope you enjoyed that i will post some pics of our mid recording day trip and when i finish editing the movies we made i will get them up!

Hola!

Welcome to the internet, this is our August update for you!

First thanks to everyone who cam out to our 'secret' show in sydney a while back.
It was great to get out and play a set of new songs and from all reports you guys dug it?

It gave us the itch to do some more shows so click HERE for the details...we'd love to see you front and centre!

But before we do the shows we are heading back down to the ranch to get album three under way!!!

In a little under 2 weeks we will be heading into a house in the lovely victorian countryside for three weeks with our main men Ricardo Stolz and Matt Maddock to commence recording!

We are so pumped for it! it has been WAAAAAY to long between drinks dont you think?

We are going to do a series of little movies documenting the recording.
So if there is anything in particular you would like to see in there LET US KNOW!

We are aiming to get a new single out mid to late october for your listening pleasure and do a bit of touring before the year is out.

Do you like coffee? like the good stuff? not that Gloria Jeans rubbish!
well i suggest you head over to the Mayan coffee website and have a look around for some tasty non colonistic coffee.
My favourite is the 'organic' its smooth and creamy and tasty.

If you are in the area head in for a snack...the Huevos rancheros is killer.

A.T.F TV Online NOW!!

After The Fall has been busy building a recording studio,
playing shows and writing a new album.

The band have got the video camera out and filmed all the goings on
from building the studio to writing and recording the demos.

After The Fall have been locked in their studio on the central coast of NSW writing for the new album. The band have 30 + songs which they have to try and pick 10 of the best for the album.... So the band are going to play 2 massive shows to road test a few of them.

The first show is Friday the 23rd of March at "High Voltage" - Wheeler Place - Town Hall Newcastle
Tickets are $25.00 pre sale & $30.00 at the door.
Also on the show is "The Beautiful Girls & Koolism to name a few.

After The Fall then fly to Brisbane on the 24th of March to play "Overcranked" at the RNA Showground, Cnr Gregory Tce, Alexandria St, Fortitude Valley. Brisbane.

After The Fall is on the triplej stage at 5.30pm.
The line up is huge with Helmet ( US), The Butterfly Effect, Behind Crimson Eyes, Sunk Loto & Shihad to name a few.
